For years, I have tried my best to listen to those around me and serve as a useful source to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about our world. I founded Skitzi4Real with a mission to give others a taste of what goes on in my mind, and I have been at it ever since.Take some time to explore the blog, read something interesting. As I am approaching my fortieth birthday, about to be discharged from a low secure forensic unit, I desire integrity as a personal value. I have made some horrendous and unthinkable mistakes and by no means do I take this lightly but I have been a prisoner to my mental health my whole life. Regarding my spell in the forensic unit, the events that led me there truly wretched my soul. Still, my time and the staff there taught me I have to forgive myself to let go of the past. I could not control my illness. My mind became my enemy. I want to be a different person. I love having the opportunity to share my thoughts, my journey and (hopefully) a pathway to both loving, forgiving and respecting myself with my loyal readers. Read on, and enjoy.
